Beat the winter blahs with a very special February Second Saturdays event! Three professional snow-sculpting teams will compete to see who can carve the best snow creation, including a team from Dubuque who participated in last year’s U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition. ARTS TREK 2018

February 20 - April 20

The Arts Trek program introduces second grade students from the Dubuque Community and Holy Family school systems to the Dubuque Museum of Art. Students learn about the role and functions of an art museum, tour current exhibitions and discuss a variety of art concepts. CALL FOR DOCENTS DuMA is currently recruiting volunteers to serve as trained tour guides, or docents, for the Arts Trek program. Celebrate the work of young Dubuque artists in the annual K-8 Student Art Exhibition. 2018 dates are from March 22-May 13, 2018, please check ahead of time to see which dates a specific school's artwork will be on display. Parents and family of featured students may see the K-8 exhibit for free if they do not wish to purchase regular museum admission, by informing the volunteer at the front desk.
